In today's livestream we will be exploring dynamic variety: as it is conceived by Pablo Casals, and applying these ideas to elementary and advanced music on the accordion.
Our purpose as musicians is to express. Through our instrument we connect what is within us to what is outside of us. In musical settings where we are playing notes which are set and cannot be changed nor added to, we have many ways of adding our expressive soul to these set notes: "dynamic variety, rhythmic flexibility, tone color, intonation."
