Hour 1:

In the first hour we are going to figure out by ear, and translate to the accordion Paul Anka's sappy ballad called "Times of Your Life." Why this song? I am about half way through the Apple TV show called "Severence" and the episode I watched last night had a beautiful and touching scene which featured this song. It really caught my attention, and as cloying as it is - I like it. I am also inspired by my work on touch (bellows pressure + superficial depression of the keys) to create a sound which works better for pop music.

I want to share how I learn it by ear, what I'm listening for, what I'm thinking about, and which decisions I arrive at translating this 1970s pop ballad to a solo accordion piece.

I am also going to talk a little bit about dealing with body inflammation as my recent travel, and return to the cold weather has brought up that old foe again!

Hour 2:

Today we cover the final chapter in The Artist's Way. I can't believe it's been 12 weeks already. What a journey. I'll do my classic recitation of my highlights, as well as discussing where we will go from here and after this book.
