Hi, I’m Dallas Vietty—accordion performer and educator based in Pennsylvania, USA. I’ve spent over a decade teaching jazz and creative accordion playing online, but this week, I’m going live from the real-world hub of Gypsy jazz learning and connection: Django in June.

This livestream will come to you straight from the beautiful Smith College campus in Northampton, Massachusetts, on the day before the official start of classes. Django in June is the most well-known Gypsy jazz music camp in North America, and it brings together an amazing community of musicians—from absolute beginners to world-class professionals—all united by their love of this joyful, high-energy music.

I’ll be your guide as the camp begins to come alive. Expect a behind-the-scenes look at the atmosphere, a few special guest drop-ins, and if we’re lucky, some impromptu jam sessions around the dorms and grassy corners of the campus. I’ll share insights on what this camp means to the Gypsy jazz world, and give you a feel for the excitement and community that makes Django in June such a special place.
